Let's be honest, the closest most of us Brits get to the delight that is Pumpkin spice, is a nice latte from Starbucks as soon as it gets to Autumn!
I've been searching everywhere for a jar of the gorgeous cosy smelling loveliness but drawn a blank each time. So I headed over to my most favourite space in the world {Pinterest} and found about a billion (ok, I'm exaggerating!) varying recipes. Some had more nutmeg, some contained allspice, some didn't and most had different quantities! I started experimenting and after a while settled on the combination below which tasted right to me!
Ingredients
Ground cinnamon
Ground cloves
Ground nutmeg
Ginger
Allspice
The ratio I found best was 4 parts cinnamon to 1 part everything else, so; 2 tbsp cinnamon to 1 tsp each of the others, and obviously increase your measurements accordingly.
Hope this makes sense!
I actually only made about 4 tbsp total initially but now I've topped up and have a nice jar full, using the quantities 4 tbsp cinnamon to 2 tsp each of the others.

So now I have my little pot of Autumnal loveliness what am I going to do with it? Look out for pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice snacks and pumpkin spice play dough!!!!! Somehow I think I'm going to be making up more 😉
Are you a fan of pumpkin spice? What flavours remind you of Autumn?

I love pumpkin spice lattes - never thought of trying to mix the spice myself though so will have to give this a go :-)
