|CREATE|octopus bottle craft

Here's a cute little octopus T and I made and the added bonus is - he lights up!!!

You will need...
A 1lt clean empty bottle
8 30 cm pipe cleaners
A bradwal and/or single hole punch
Washi tape
Battery operated tea light candle (optional)

Cut the top off of a bottle - we used 1lr, punch 8 holes around the bottom, use a bradwal if you don't have a hole punch.

Make a hole either side of the bottle top and thread some ribbon through.

Cut a long pipe cleaner in half and using a pencil, wrap it round to form a spring.  Make 8 in total.

Attach one spring to each hole and pull to form your octopus's 8 arms.

Use some washi tape to attach a battery operated tea light to the inside of the bottle, add some extra washi round the top to disguise the candle.

You should be able to unscrew the bottle top to switch on the light.

Little fingers are good for switching on the candle!  Be careful you don't poke the tea light out though!!!

Your octopus is already to hang up!
